In memory of
Mum
I have been privileged to know many incredibley strong people who have fought against breast cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer. There are too many to list. Some like my amazing bestie Lynds kicked cancers BUTT! others continue their fight and far too many, like Mum have been taken from us by cancer and the devistating impact it has on our fragile claim on life. I'm no runner but I've wanted to do a race for life for years and never felt it was possible. I know you can walk it, skip it or moon walk it but I felt to do it properly, I needed to face my own battle with fitness and run it. Every time I felt I was getting some where injury would set me back. If there's one lesson to take from witnessing Mum's battle was to never give up the fight. So here I am again. Proud of my self for managing to run 3 min stints in week 3 of C25k.... 5 k by July 1st? Nothing like a challenge!!
