My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. It will touch all of our lives in one way or another. Last year my best friend lost her amazing father Shane to cancer, far too young. He was an great man who was an incredible role model, father and grandfather. My Great Aunt Kathy inspired my love of reading, she was a fearsome women who was proud and loving. A keen gardener and involved with so many charities I'm sure she would be inspired by the great work Cancer Research does. I'm running this year in memory of Shane and my Great Aunty Kathy. In the hope I can raise money so we can beat cancer and find a cure for the disease that has taken too many people from us already. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
