My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to breaststroke & backstroke my way to AT LEAST 20km during August to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. I was given a relatively new chemotherapy regime in 2021 when I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, following lots of research & recent associated positive results. Although my treatment course was classified as “aggressive”, it did the job beautifully & I’m now cancer-free. I will be eternally grateful to everyone who has made me a cancer survivor! Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
