My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. March 1st would have been Mum’s 84th birthday. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer when she was just 49 years old. She never got to see me or my sister graduate, get married or meet her wonderful grandchildren. The work done by Cancer Research UK means that resuming a normal life after breast cancer is now a reality for many women. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
