Catherine's Virtual Relay

I wanted to reach out a talk about our work in the Cancer Research UK, Drug Discovery Unit research laboratory in Newcastle. We carry out cutting-edge drug discovery projects aimed at finding a cure to cancer. Our research is made possible by CRUK funding, and the COVID-19 crisis means that they're anticipating a huge funding deficit over the coming year because much of their income comes from charitable events such as the race for life. Cancer isn't going to disappear - helping charities such as CRUK is more important now than ever. That's why our research group is participating in a race for life relay at home! Collectively, over the coming week, we will run/ride/cycle/dance our way around CRUK's Drug Discovery Units. That's 1000 miles! Together over the week my mum, my boyfriend Craig, and I will be donning our running shoes and doing our bit to achieve this goal! Please, if you can, help us raise some funds to keep fighting cancer!
