Catherine's Race for Life
Coventry & Warwickshire 5k 2020
Sat 22 Aug 2020 - Sat 22 Aug 2020
Earlier in the year, I was inspired by my friend, Jonathan Thorpe, to raise money for Cancer Research by taking part in Race for Life. Sadly, Jonathan lost his battle with cancer in May 2020, aged just 35. So to me it is even more important, that I carry out what I told Jonny I would do and vital that we raise funds for Cancer Research. However, Race for Life has had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 restrictions. So, I've signed up for Great North Run Solo. Over a period of 78 days starting on 28th June, I will be carrying out 40 runs. I've never been great at running but I'll do my best! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I'm sure we all know many people who have been affected by cancer. If you are able to, please sponsor me so that Cancer Research can help others.
