My Story
Our family have has had to fight Cancer on many levels and we have had family and dear friends lose their battle and others survive to fight on. We have seen and dealt with non-hodgkins, hodgkins, bowel, breast, lung, prostate, pre cancerous cells of the cervix and bone cancer all on a personal level so know how important it is to end Cancers reign of terror. We want to see all types of Cancer eradicated and because of this we try to raise as much as we can for Cancer Research UK, so that they may continue their work in finding better treatments and hopefully cures to this devastating disease. We started Cast-4-Life in 2012 when we lost a sister to her second fight with Breast Cancer, and we have continued raising money and fighting since. Cast-4-Life is a carp fishing match with a social period in the middle for raffles etc. It started with just 6 people fishing and now we have up to 36 regular anglers taking part. It grown into its own little family unit. We do the match biennially as we work and run a family home at the same time.
