Carolyn's Race for Life

Cancer may have already affected you or a close friend or family member , it may affect any of us at any time, so whilst I have been lucky not be directly affected to date , I wanted to do something to help everyone. I have begun my couch to 5K training (I have Sarah Millican as my coach) to ensure that I get round the course and have been treading the pavements for the last 5 weeks , although my face is a rather interesting shade of cerise at the end. The training seems a small price to pay if my taking part can help even one person. I am running with a colleague of mine called Sam and we hope to raise as much as we possible can. Now for the science bit ! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
