Cancer is something that has always been close to my heart having lost my mum to this horrible disease when I was just 19. As most of you will know I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2016 and faced chemo, mastectomy and radiotherapy! It was a horrendous journey and a difficult time but I am here, a survivor and going from strength to strength! Long may it continue! I did the 5k last year ( 2 weeks after completing radiotherapy) with the support and encouragement of some amazing friends and this year have entered for the 10k! Again, I have my friends entering too and together we will do this in support of people like me, the ones still fighting this horrible disease and the ones that have sadly lost their battle.
