Caroline's Race for Life

There are quite a number of people close to me who have been affected by Cancer. Some have won, some have lost and some are still fighting. But none have hit me quite as hardly as my mum being diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year. After skipping most of my PE lessons as a child (sorry mum) and never running anything more than a bath, I embarked on a journey to learn to run. Initially this was a in a desperate attempt to lose my post baby weight, although that’s a slow burner as I enjoy food and drink too much. So if I can raise some money for charity instead that will keep my motivation going. I couldn’t have done it without my trusty running buddy. She’s picked me up (not literally, yet) when I’ve needed it and boy there’s been a few of those occasions. So here it is.... our first official 5k run! I know there are lots of people out there with similar stories but please dig deep guys and girls. Without the vital work Cancer Research Uk does things could be very different. My mum is doing really well now and fought her battle like a trooper!
