This year's Race for Life is a huge milestone for me. I haven't been able to take part since 2015 due to cancer scares and 2 operations. But, I'm now well again and working hard to regain my fitness.
In memory of
Nora Croft (my grandma)
My Story
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and my family is no exception. I'm running for my mum to show my thanks for her still being here and in memory of my grandma and my Uncle David, whom I still miss greatly. Having had 2 gynae cancer scares of my own in the past couple of years, I have realised how things could easily have turned out very differently for me. I am so grateful for the care and treatment I've received from the NHS and my consultant, Mr Nordin. My 2019 Race for Life is also about celebrating the fact I've got my health and fitness back after three years of uncertainty, pain and worry. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. My mum is testament to this, as is still here thanks to drugs developed by CRUK scientists. Please help continue the life saving work and sponsor me.
