In memory of
My lovely Mum
My Story
On 16 May, 2017 my beautiful Mum was diagnosed with AML, an acute form of Leukaemia. Two days later she was gone, long before she should have. Words can't describe the pain and shock of losing her, my best friend, inspiration, confidante, and greatest advocate. My family lost its foundation stone and matriarch, and though they are part of her, my daughters will never experience how special it felt to be utterly adored by her. I never thought it would happen to our family, but it did and life will never be the same again. A shocking 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which is why I'm hoping to raise some money to help save lives. So this weekend Sophia ran the Mini Great North Run, I have pledged to run 60 miles in September for Cancer Research, and in October my friend Kelly and I are taking part in the Newcastle Race for Life 10k. We are not experienced runners and took up running together as a hobby during lockdown, so any donation you are able to make would be so gratefully received and helps Cancer Research UK to do it’s groundbreaking work.
