My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and help save lives. Cancer is the disease that has taken the lives of my grandfather, grandmother and father. My mother is in treatment and very dear friends have had treatment and recovered. This is a challenge for me as I have done no excercise in the past year, due to a foot injury I had during lockdown and I am over 60! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
