Caroline's Race for Life

If you're reading this, you've opened my Giving Page and I really appreciate you taking the time to do so. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. For me personally, the disease has claimed grandparents and more recently my Father In Law, but thanks to the care and advances in cancer, my Mother In Law and both of my parents have successfully overcome various forms of Cancer over the years. My reason for taking part in this race has nothing to do with a love of fitness, I wanted to do this on Fathers Day as my thank you to Cancer Research UK, the doctors, surgeons, carers and anyone who fights each day to prolong the lives of our loved ones. Those of you who know me and my family well will know that my Dad has recently had the all clear from a year long battle with Throat Cancer. I hope this challenge will in some small way show him how important he is to me and what he means to us all. Many of the runners will be running in memory of loved ones, and I don't take for granted how lucky we are. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
