Losing yet another friend to this horrible disease at the start of the year.
In memory of
Fiona
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and help to save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. What a horrendous statistic and one which is far too close to home for a lot of us. I know too many people that have fought and are still fighting this horrible disease. Fiona give it her all and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She never gave up and went through years giving everything to every treatment given to her. She wanted to be there for her children and she fought so very hard to be, but unfortunately Cancer still beat her in the end. One day hopefully it won't. Fiona was told at the start of her treatment that there were 4 different types of treatment available to her but due to advances in treatment during her illness she was given double that amount. This meant she was around for her family for longer. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, giving more people like Fiona hope of a cure, or at the very least, more precious time with their loved ones, so please sponsor me. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
