My Story
In August 2024 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I started chemotherapy in October 2024. It made me so poorly that I ended up in hospital after nearly every round. The third round contributed to the development of a pulmonary embolism in both lungs. I still have a long way to go with more chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery planned in the near future. I am taking part in the race for life with members of my family and friends to help raise awareness and the funds needed to support the research and treatment of cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
