My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in my 10th Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. The research work is vital to help improve treatment options for patients and increase survival rates. I am living proof of benefitting from such treatments after receiving treatment for cancer twice, I have now been in remission for over 5 years. My second cancer was treated with new chemotherapy drugs to specifically target lymphoma cells and this hadn't been available for my first cancer treatment 8 years previous. Survival rates have increased and knowledge of how cancers can be treated more successfully is an ongoing campaign, but funding is vital to carry on this good work. That's why I'm asking you to help fund this research by kindly sponsoring me for my Race for life event on 14th May 2017. Any amount will be gratefully received to help me reach my target.
