House of Snacks - Marathon a Month
My Story
Starting on the 1st of January 2021, together with some wonderful friends, we will be running/walking a marathon a month in aid of Cancer Research. This fundraising idea originally came about due to the untimely passing of Graham’s Mum back in July of this year, which I personally know affected him deeply. The plan was made to undertake a task that was a challenge, but also able to be accomplished as a group and in time the fundraising idea was set. The aim is simple, to raise money and generate hope, to give some comfort to families who are going through similar challenging times. In recent weeks this has become even more poignant for me personally as I have just lost my Father-In-Law, Graham Johns, to pancreatic cancer that took hold so quickly and left behind only memories of a loving Husband, Dad and Grandad. There is undoubtedly not a person reading this that has not in some way been impacted by cancer, be it themselves, a family member or friend.
