Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. My mum was diagnosed with Cancer on May 12th 2016. One of the worst things my family & I have ever had to go through. Having to see my mum go through Chemo & Radiotheropy treatment & seeing the affect it was having on her was heartbreaking.. but thankfully on January 15th 2017 we received some good news & my Mum got the all clear! I know not everyone is as lucky as my Mum & as a way of paying homage to those people, I'm taking part in the 5k Race for Life. This is my way of saying "Well done!" to all the people that have beaten it, "Thank you!" to all the Doctors, Nurses, Researchers and Scientists that make beating Cancer possible and a "I'm doing this for you" for all the people that have unfortunately lost their lives to this horrible disease. If we all come together, I'm sure we can beat Cancer's arse ?? 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
