1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime. It touches everyone's lives, friends, family, colleagues, it doesn't discriminate. When you take part in a race for life event, when you're part of a crowd of thousands, runners and walkers, all with their own personal messages and reasons for running written on their race numbers, it really hits home just how many people have been affected by cancer.
