2020 Great North Run

I’m running the 2020 Great North Run for Cancer Research UK. Cancer is something so many people have to suffer and CRUK works tirelessly through donations to find a cure for this horrible disease. Like the majority of charities, Cancer Research is reliant on support from the public. Every sponsorship I receive for my Great North Run effort will go into funding vital research. In 2019 Cancer Research UK raised a total of £627m. From this amazing amount raised, £442 million went to funding projects that will run for many years. As I complete the 13 miles I will remember those people, including my Dad, who have suffered as a result of this disease and also those who are still suffering.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.
