My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This April, I'm doing 100 squats a day to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. When I was young, I shared a year of my life with a curious friend from the USA who wanted to learn Spanish and get to know another country and culture. She lived with us for a year, and since then, we have been "sisters". We both influenced each other profoundly. Over 30 years later, my dear sister has been fighting against cancer. Her strength and optimism is my rock. I wished a cure existed or a treatment to manage the condition effectively in the long run. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case. I sent her my love and my reiki through my meditation every day; we had lovely virtual chats in the distance since a big ocean was between us (COVID times), and we talked about the important things in life, time, true joy, consciousness, and the self. Her views of the world and life feel me with gratitude every day. Tanya just passed away peacefully and surrounded by loving people on 17th March; she would be very pleased knowing that I am doing something to raise some funding for further research, so... 100 squats a day it is! 100 squats are a very little effort compared to what she had to go through every day. I hope this helps find ways to stop this disease that takes life's away too soon. Thanks for helping.
