The Great Golf Challenge
My Story
It is time for another challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This August, I'll be part of a team taking on four rounds of golf (72 holes) in one day to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We will be doing this at Machrihanish Golf Club. As some of you will know, my wife Lyndsey had cancer. She had something called dysgerminoma and was diagnosed in March 2010. Dysgerminoma is a type of cancer that begins in germ cells in females and occurs most often in the ovaries. This was the case for Lyndsey. After surgery and aggressive chemotherapy, she managed to beat the big C. She was one of the lucky ones and fast forward 8 years she is now the most amazing Mum to our beautiful baby daughter, Skye. Something we weren't sure would ever be possible while she was going through treatment. A lot of cancer suffers don't beat the disease. The work that Cancer Research UK carries out and the money you donate ensure more and more people do. If you can spare a few pounds for this amazing charity then please donate and make sure that other people's loved ones have a better chance of kicking cancer's ass!
