I am raising money for research into oesophageal cancer following the death from the disease of Gary McLean.
My Story
In September/October I am walking part of the Camino de Santiago - from St Jean Pied de Port to Belorado. I will be accompanied by a group of girlfriends. We are planning to be ‘very pilgrim’ so we will carry our bags and stay mainly in dormitory style accommodation. We will walk on average 24km a day. We will walk for 11 days. I am not suggesting that this is a super-human challenge but I have been very touched by the untimely death of Gary McLean and thought I could use the trip as an opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
