I'm taking on a Race for Life to raise money for Cancer

My Story
On average, 1 in 2 people will develop Cancer during their lifetimes. Unfortunately last year, 2 of my uncles passed away after being diagnosed with it, while everybody was worried about Covid, I was worried about Cancer. Cancer is unfair, unpredictable and can happen to anyone, it doesn't discrimate and I had to learn this the hard way. If we could just reduce this problem, find a cure, learn ways to better our lifestyle, reduce our risk and be more educated on its causes, then don't we have a chance at beating it. We need to make that number go from 1 in 2, to 1 in 10, then 1 in 50 and so forth until weve reduced the effect of Cancer on our lives. That's why I'm running, for my uncles but also to raise money that can help fund the reduction and destruction of Cancer.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
