Performing concerts to raise money for Cancer Research UK's Brain Tumour Research

Welcome to our fundraising page. To see the total we've raised across all of our concerts, visit our Team Page:

We are a group of friends and choral scholars from Cambridge, UK, who would like to raise money to help support the invaluable and pioneering research of Cancer Research UK, and in particular their contribution towards the treatment of brain tumours. We have witnessed the results of their excellent research first-hand, as in the last year two people close to members of the choir have undergone treatment for brain tumours; a 23-year-old former student from Trinity College, Cambridge and a godmother to a member of the group. We would like to raise as much money as possible to support this vital cause.

Over 9,400 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour every year (Source: Cancer Research UK). We hope that with your support, we can help contribute towards improving pioneering treatment methods, with a view to drastically improving survival statistics for our loved ones. We have already witnessed the work of Cancer Research UK ,and it is already having a major impact in enabling our loved ones to have the latest pioneering treatments.

In order to raise money, we performed two Epiphany Carol concerts in the Leicestershire and Rutland area in January 2017, through which we raised over £2000. We have since performed in Oxford, Winchester, Cambridge and again in the Rutland area for Epiphany. We are hoping to raise £10,000 through our concerts for this wonderful cause.

The choir is composed of Choral Scholars at Cambridge University. Within their respective college choirs, they have been fortunate to be a part of professional CD recordings and tour all over the world, with recent trips to Australia, America, Hong Kong and Germany. They are hugely looking forward to bringing their love of singing to audiences around the country, not least as it will be a lovely opportunity to make music together as a group of friends.

If you are unable to attend our concerts, or would just like to support our cause, then please use this fundraising page and help spread support for our project. Anything you donate will be greatly appreciated!

If you would like to donate via cheque, we do request that it be made payable to Elizabeth Tobin so that our treasurer can cheque it and donate it immediately to the cause.

If you have any questions or enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Ellie at .

Thank you for taking the time to read this page, and we thank you in advance for your support.

Brain cancer

Each year in the UK, more than 9,400 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. With more than 100 different types of brain tumour, donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
