My Story
Anyone who knows me knows I am NOT a sporty person. As a child I threw a ball backwards in a throwing competition and as a teen I swam diagonally across a swimming pool during a backstroke event. Until very recently I couldn't run for more than a minute without getting out of breath but, with the help of Couch to 5k, I am training to run a 5k without stopping and this race will throw me right out of my comfort zone. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and I have lost relatives and friends to the disease. I also know people who have survived thanks to the valuable research done by charities like Cancer Research UK.
