On the 12th September 2021 I am running the Brighton Marathon for family members and friends who have battled, suffered or sadly been lost to Cancer. It’s important to me that people continue to raise money for Cancer Research because it is only through continued research and advances in treatments that allows my mum and other family members to still be alive today. The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they do not have a friend or relative who has battled against this terrible illness. It is predicted one in two people in their lives will develop cancer, so the harsh truth is that it’s likely either you reading this will develop it or I will. Thanks to research the UK’s Cancer survival rate has doubled over the past 40 years. Today, half of people diagnosed with cancer will survive their disease for ten years or more. Cancer research currently supports over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK helping test new treatments, prevention and diagnosis techniques. We all have a part to play and every part helps support life-saving research. Any donation is greatly appreciated to keep funding research which will help save thousands of lives and provide hope like it did for my mum and other family members. Thank you for taking your time to read my page and please donate if you can!
