Cali's Race for Life

In November I lost my lovely friend Wendy. She'd been battling this horrible disease with grace and courage almost the entire time we've known each other. She is the best and most amazing person I think I will ever have the pleasure of counting as a friend - and I know some amazeballs people! Wendy's passing has made me incredibly sad but I'm trying to belt up because I know that is exactly what she would have told me to do :) I'm lucky that she left me with lovely memories and mementos in my house and worklife, the kiddos playhouse, the lilies she gave me a pot of 15 years ago and swore they were easy to grow but I'm still on that original group :) She never did figure out what I was doing wrong but very kindly blamed it on the soil. And every time a see a skyline of London I'm reminded of a particularly cold 13 mile night walk around London in bras decorated as eyes to raise funds and awareness.
