In memory of
Daniella Thackray
My Story
Last June, my childhood best friend Daniella was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma. In her battle with cancer she was the definition of bravery- she was strong, determined and positive, and even as the cancer spread she continued to put up a true fight. Life without her has been unbearable. Cancer didn’t just take our friend, it took the future she worked so hard to achieve and all of the future memories we can now never make. On Sunday 12th May, on what should have been Daniella’s 26th birthday, I’ll be doing the cancer research 10k race for life. Whilst I’m doing this in Daniella’s memory, it is also for all our loved ones we have lost to cancer over the years, and everyone else who will receive the diagnosis in the future. 1 in 2 of us will have cancer at some point in our lives, which is why Cancer Research’s work is so important. Any donations really are massively appreciated ❤️

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
