My Story
10 years ago I lost my great grandad, who I was really close to, to prostate cancer then last year I lost a very close family friend to bowel cancer which is what my money raised is going towards in the hope that they can find a cure and so that other people don’t have to go through what I’ve been through. Also 5 years ago my nan got diagnosed with breast cancer and fortunately she was one of the lucky survivors so me, my mum and my nan have decided to take part in the shine walk to celebrate my nan surviving and in memory of loved people who we sadly lost. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
