Buildbase Loss Prevention, Property and Transport Challenge

To make our contribution to this very worthwhile cause, the Transport, Property and Loss Prevention Teams have committed to visiting every Buildbase branch in England and Wales, covering 4000 miles of branch visits between 1st September and 31st November 2019. The 4000 miles will cover a “virtual” visit to every Buildbase branch in England and Wales and to achieve this we need everyone in the team to walk, run, swim, cycle, etc a minimum of 10 miles per week for the 13 weeks of the challenge. No matter how big or small, your contribution will make a difference in helping us to raise £125,000 for Prostate Cancer Research. CAUSE Stampede trial for Prostate Cancer research Since 2005, we’ve been funding a clinical trial called STAMPEDE to find the best treatment for men with newly diagnosed, advanced prostate cancer. The trial is actually many different trials in one, looking at new combinations of treatments to identify which are most effective at beating this disease. STAMPEDE has now recruited more than 11,000 patients and results from the trial have already led to a change in how men are treated. This demonstrates the power of trials in getting promising treatments to the clinic as quickly as possible.
