British Rowing is taking on The Great Row, with a team of six amateur rowers facing the gruelling challenge of rowing 26 miles in the fastest time possible. We’ll be racing teams to complete the indoor rowing marathon at a special event on 26 January 2017 to help raise money and save lives. Each rower will take it in turns to row a total of 7kms on the indoor rowing machine as quickly as possible. Training is underway, with the help of some top tips from our world class GB rowers. British Rowing is supporting Cancer Research UK to help raise money for the charity and to promote an active lifestyle through indoor rowing. Devastatingly, 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But advances in science have put cures within our grasp.
