Running for a cancer-free future!
My Story
Brenda: I've never done any sponsored challenge before, even as a Brownie all those years ago! I'm not going to make a regular habit of this, so please support me this time. I'm running this because three friends, all strong women, have survived cancer. Katie and I are doing this together, although she's running 10k to my 5k. Katie: Each of these three women has had a fairly profound influence on me as well, and so when mum suggested the Race for Life I was more than keen to sign up (let's face it, I love a good medal!). This is our first race together, and she'll be trying not to get lapped by me! Oh, and did I mention she only took up running last year? As we're sure you are all more than aware, cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life 5k and 10k to raise money to fund valuable research and ultimately save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
