My Story
Dear Family & Friends, thanks for clicking on my ‘50th Birthday’ Just-Giving page. Rather than accept or receive any gifts for my 50th birthday, I would kindly ask that you consider any donation of your choice to Cancer Research. Cancer has impacted our family and many others, and whilst research continues to identify options for therapy, the fundamental remedies are still limited to treatments like chemotherapy, radiotherapy etc. which have some material downsides and limited success rates, however hopefully continued research will result in the wider identification, development and adoption of therapies that will cure the disease once and for all for our children and our next generation.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
