My brother Alastair was one of those special people. I was so lucky to have him as my big brother. He fought a long battle with cancer and he didn't want to give up. He sometimes had to endure unbelievable situations with his care when a crisis would happen and he needed hospital care because of the pressures on the NHS and the lack of joined up thinking of at QA Hospital Portsmouth which would have made most people to want to give up. His last weeks were distressing and he was moved 3 times. I think of him every time I go out walking and I won't let Alastair down. He loved walking and also wanted to find a cure and I can help him as he walks beside me.
