My Story
Cancer is happening right now, with 1 in 2 people being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Recently, one of our Foundation Stage pupils was diagnosed with leukaemia and is currently receiving treatment. We want to thank Cancer Research for all they have done for this little boy and everybody in our lives who have been affected by cancer and support them to continue their excellent research. This is why all of the children and staff are taking part in a Race for Life at Birley Spa Primary Academy during the week commencing Monday to raise money and save lives. Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They are fighting cancer on all fronts, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to save more lives. They are entirely funded by the public. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
