My Story
**Our story** To raise money for the 5K run for Cancer research UK. Unfortunately, my eldest baby has been fighting Leukaemia since mid-November 2022. The official diagnosis is ALL Type Leukaemia (acute lymphoblastic leukaemia), the most aggressive type of blood cancer but also the most treatable. We received the official diagnosis on the 29/11/2022 at Southampton children’s cancer hospital. My beautiful Billie-Rose is 2 years of age and is absolute fighter. She has had a very difficult time since being diagnosed, She has been the subject to many forms of treatment and operations, some of which have been extremely traumatizing and painful for her. The determination and the courage she show’s is truly amazing, she never gives up and keeps fighting as hard as she possible can. There are no words I can really use to explain how proud my wife and I are of our special little princess, she’s just incredible. She is currently in remission at present, which is a dream come true at this stage, but she does have a long time to go before she’s cured (approximately 2 years’ worth of intense treatment). She wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the fantastic work and research that the Cancer research UK charity undertake day in day out. We really would like to give them something back to say thank you, but we need your help. If you could please help us raise a few quid for them it would really help, we all would be extremely grateful. Any amount you donate will help; I know times are tough at present. I know my baby will thank you in a few years’ time.

With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
