My Story
On 1st June this year I held my Dad’s hand and told him I loved for the last time, and watched him peacefully pass away after a five year fight with cancer. Originally colo-rectal, the disease first spread to his lungs, and then his upper spine, hips and stomach - despite multiple rounds of aggressive chemo. I can’t even describe how broken our hearts are, but his valiant efforts are over and he can now finally rest. He did us so proud, as always. Having the Pretty Muddy Race booked in just ten days after his funeral was incredibly emotional for all of us - but has spurred us on to make sure our fundraising does as much good, for as many people as possible. Please help us support the incredible healthcare processionals who are creating and delivering ground-breaking treatments and care to all of our loved ones, present and future, who are diagnosed with cancer: everything you donate goes to those people who can make the most long-term difference for all of us. Thank you so much ❤️
