My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to complete 100 skips every day in October to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. I spontaneously decided to sign up this week! Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. I'm not quite sure why I signed up, partly as motivation to do some exercise that doesn't involve leaving the house but mostly because it seems no one escapes cancer invading their lives. I am thankful that my life has been relatively cancer free with my only close lose being my grandma when I was 18 years old. Cancer is still everywhere though. I work in oncology 1 day a week, supporting individuals though major surgery (pelvic exenteration) in a final hope to beat cancer. Earlier this year I worked with someone just 2 days younger than me. That bit home pretty close! Then year I felt the pain of a good friend losing her mum to cancer and an old friend who was only in his 30s. It's an awful disease that knows no bounds!
