I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money for Cancer Research UK, after my Dad died of pancreatic cancer in March 2019.

David Gray
21st May 1952 - 7th Mar 2019
My dad, David Gray was a healthy and happy 66 year old who was looking forward to many more years working, travelling and playing golf, until he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2018. Although he fought to beat the disease, he died just 6 months later. Less than 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in England and Wales survive their disease for five years or more. I hope that by raising money for Cancer Research UK this figure will improve in coming years so that other families like mine do not have to face this terrible prognosis. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
