Beth's Pretty Muddy

In memory of
Eileen Warden
4th Aug 1936 - 28th Dec 2020
My Grandma, affectionately known as Dee Dee, passed away on the 28th December 2020. She was, and still is, the strongest person I have ever known, battling multiple life threatening strokes in 2013, putting up with my Dad and Auntie Libby and living with cancer and osteoporosis with a smile on her face. She had a dry sense of humour and would look after me and my brother every Friday evening so that my parents could go to the pub (parenting goals), and these are some of my favourite childhood memories. She taught us card games and endured long suffering games of Yahtzee, Draughts and Pass the Pigs. I am heartbroken that Dee Dee only got to meet Rory a handful of times, and that we had to stay apart from her for the majority of her last year because of covid, but she lives on through him and I think his sense of humour is going to be the same as hers was! There will forever be a hole in my life as she is no longer with us, but myself and my Dad and brother are all running a 5K Pretty Muddy course in her honour for Cancer Research. Any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated, and feel free to send any of your own sponsorships our way! To Dee Dee, I hope we do you proud.
