Beth's Absence of Alcohol
I’m aiming to be a Dryathlete for the month of January, which is no mean feat so please support me!
In memory of
My Grandad - Irving Chew
27th Nov 1934 - 1st Jan 2017
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. I'm sure you will no doubt agree that the thought of me being sober for an entire 31 days seems near impossible - everyone who knows me, will also know that I love to drink; whether that's a couple of glasses of wine in the evenings after a tough day at work, or when I hit the town at the weekends. My birthday is at the end of this month too, and I honestly can not remember the last time I celebrated this occasion sober; So this is really going to be a tough month to get through. I am very apprehensive but hope with your kind words, encouragement and donations I can smash my target and achieve this goal. I know this challenge is going to really test me in so many ways, but I am determined to try my best and do this for such a worthy cause. I am doing this challenge in memory of my grandad, Irving Chew, who sadly passed away on January 1st 2017, after a long and exhausting battle with cancer. Any funds I manage to raise will therefore be donted to this worthy cause in memory of him, his strength and determination, which sadly in the end, were not enough for him to stay here with us. We have, I'm sure, all been affected by Cancer in some way or another, which is why I ask for your support as I try and complete such a trying task. I hope to raise as much as I can for such a worthy cause. Please help me in any way you can. It will be much appreciated, and really could make all the difference. Thank you.
