My Story

When I was just 17 my family was rocked by my mum being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Luckily, the diagnosis was made quickly, my mum had her lumpectomy and radiotherapy and was given the all clear after treatment. Her experience is similar to that of my paternal grandma, who also had stage 2 breast cancer when I was a young child. We all have the dedicated and continued research to finding a cure to cancer to thank for their wellbeing and recovery. I, an unfit and arthritic 20 year old, am running to raise money for continued research to ensure that the lives of people with cancer are supported through their diagnosis and treatment. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
