My Story
Jodie and I decided to sign up for this particularly in memory of my dad, Grandad Alex, and Andy's dad, Grandad Charlie, who both developed lung cancer, sadly passing away within three months of each other in 2014/2015. We remember as well many other family members and friends who also fought and continue to fight a battle with cancer in many different forms. It touches so many of our lives, the effects are so difficult to deal with for everyone involved and so we are trying to help make a small difference. This will be 26 miles overnight through London together with thousands of others. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.
