I’ll be running, jumping and squelching 5km with my husband and colleagues to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate. It affects men, women, children, and everybody in their lives equally. That’s why we as members of humanity have to say “enough is enough” and come together to beat it. I’ve wanted to be a part of Race for Life for many years, and for me, that goal has now become a reality. But so many never had the chance to take part and raise money for a friend, family member, or even themselves. I’m doing this in memory of everyone who was taken from us too soon. Please join me, my husband, and my colleagues at Tesco Crediton and help us to beat cancer sooner. With your support, we will not only get across the (probably very muddy) finish line of this year’s Race for Life, but also be one step closer to a world in which 1 in 2 people will not have to live in fear of cancer. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
