My Story
Ben's Story On 8th February 1995 my dad lost his very short battle with cancer, he was 44 years old. On 19th July 2019 I will be 44 years 33 weeks and 6 days which is exactly the age my dad was when he died. To mark this occasion on 26th July this year myself and 3 friends Dave, Jack & Matt will be cycling from Marble Arch London to Arc de Triomphe Paris (200 plus miles) in a day to raise funds for Cancer Research to stop other people from dying like my dad, grandparents and other family members have, along with those family members and friends who have been and still are being treated for this dreadful disease. Any money raised will go directly to Cancer Research and the hope for the future is that less people will lose their lives to this disease and less families will suffer as a consequence. Most of you reading this will have been affected by cancer either directly or indirectly as unfortunately the chances are that 1 in 2 of us will get it at some point in our lifetime, with research the odds can be lengthened so please dig deep for this wonderful cause.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
