I’m raising as much as I can to beat cancer, specifically Lung Cancer.

In 2016 having completed the Manchester 10 K I promised myself then that I would run the Half Marathon in 2017.

During 2016 I lost 1 close family relative and 3 good friends to Cancer, and decided that this would be an excellent Charity to run for.....

Earlier this year we learnt that Mel's Sister Wendy had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer, not ever a smoker and not yet fifty.

On Sunday 28th May 2017 I shall running for Wendy.

At 54, and a smoker for a good number of those years I am no athlete by any means. I hope to complete the 13.1 miles in under 2 hours, and to make things more interesting I shall pledge to match the funding I receive
(up to a limit of £ 250) if I cannot complete within this time, so please give generously to see me suffer!
