I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer

Hello!! I’m Bella and I’m 14 years old! I live half the time with my mum, step-dad and baby brother Henry and the other half of my time is spent with my dad, step-mum Beccy, little sister Tilly and little brother Freddie!

My step-mum and I haven’t always had the perfect relationship but when she got diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2017, it just brought us closer. Beccy has always been an inspiration to me and I love the little things we used to do like when we would team up against dad or do little photo shoots in the matching clothes that I made us wear!

Running this 5K has turned out to be a massive challenge for me and my training buddies! We run three times a week together using the ‘Couch to 5K’ app and have all found a love for running! My team have all been extremely supportive of me throughout my struggles the past few years and are constantly cheering me on. The people in my team are family to me as I’ve known them from being little in school and the pantomime that we all perform in annually with the St Joseph’s with St Marks Church community.

Running has never come easy to me but I am dedicated to this cause and I will try my best throughout. I want to do as much as I can for this charity and show my support! I am planning on holding bake sales and charity events to raise as much money as possible because this can affect anyone and everyone deserves a a happy experience!

I am running this 5K for Beccy and to show my little sister the true meaning of ‘Girl Power!’ I encourage everybody to get involved, leave their comfort zones or simply donate to this brilliant cause!

I thank you all for your time and support through this challenge we are facing together💗-Bella x
