Belinda and Family’s Race for Life

Cancer is such a horrendous disease and it affects so many of us. After losing the most important man in my life, my dad, to lung cancer in 2001, I have since lost other family members and friends to this horrendous disease. My Nan (who is also my adoptive mum) has been suffering from ill health for many years now and was unfortunately diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2017, due to her failing health she is unable to have treatment and we are simply taking one day at a time. She has always wanted to take part in Race for Life and when we heard it was coming to our home town we signed up. We hope she will be strong enough to join us. Let’s try to raise as much as we can and continue to make positive progress in the research, medications and outcome for so many. Thank you for reading my story ? x
